Mixed Media Class

Ok now I am hooked. I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of fun and creative students in my first Mixed Media Class. Some of them new to mixed media…all of them artists. I loved watching what they came up with for their design and then getting into the process of making it. They did not finish their pieces but are off to a good start. I think next class I will spend some more time doing more demos of the process and making some more handouts. For example…Do you know the difference between transparent paints and opaque paints?

Mixed media class

I am very excited about teaching my very first mixed media class this Saturday. I have had a lot of fun and worked hard to prepare for it. I taught myself how to make my own postcard announcement.

This class is full. I will be teaching another class in May or June. Let me know if you are interested and I will send you the supply list.

Plein Air Studies in Watercolor

I did some Watercolor studies at the beach in Florida last week. I used my mini home made palette…shown in the last post and a micron pen. My friend Carol was a willing participant (model). Thanks Carol. These are fun to do!
